I just finished my freshman year of college. Yes, I cried like a bitch the day I left to go home. I have a lot of friends that graduated this year, and I frankly I’m devastated. 

There is still hope! I’ve become pen pals with my three besties in the theatre at school, so all is well. I’ll keep you updated on that…

Today, I’m relaxing. This is Day Five of my return, approximately 2:20 pm in the afternoon on a Tuesday. It’s really nice out, but it’s the kind of day where I just want to lay in my bed, play pokemon and be naked. Yup. It’s a naked kind of day. 

In other news, I am now a G. 

I registered for Pottermore today and I was sorted into Ravenclaw. 

I’ve always pictured myself as a Hufflepuff, so needless to say I’m a bit disappointed. Then again, they’ve reiterated several times that this is the House of Eccentrics so I guess it did me right. 

Somehow in my internet wanderings, I ended up reading articles about ritualistic mass suicide. …what. I think it started out with reading an article about the Blair Witch Project.    I honestly tried watching that movie once and I fell asleep. Hrm. I really have no desire to watch it now. 

In other more exciting news, I bought two bags of starburst jellybeans. It’s the only thing I have to look forward to with Easter. 

I guess it’s safe to say that I won’t be finishing the Lord of the Rings 30 Day Challenge. I kind of lost track, and plus I’ve more or less lost all motivation to do it. Ah well. 

In other news, I’m home for a couple of days during Easter Break and I intend on getting a couple bags Starburst jellybeans before I go back to school. Here’s to questing!

The way you spoke on his matter makes me wonder if you understand the depth and/or origin of the character. But I want to make it most clear in no manner am I affronting you.

I’m sorry for taking so long to respond! I actually read this while half asleep and I figured I’d answer it the next morning. Aaaaand then I forgot. I appreciate the politeness of your message, it’s quite nice actually. 

To be perfectly honest, I have read the Fellowship of the Rings while in sixth grade and I haven’t read it again since. I assure you my opinion of Tom Bombabil wasn’t nearly this negative when I first read the chapters featuring him. Nonetheless, I wasn’t too fond of the character and the negativity was sort of accentuated by time and heavily influenced by those with more violent opinions. 

I realize now that my opinion is both vaguely uninformed and a little biased with time. I have been meaning to reread the trilogy sometime in the near future, but I don’t think my opinion will much change. However, if you happen to have an argument that may potentially change my opinion, I’ll be more than happy to hear it. :)
